Working with Disney Press, Sony and Pixar, Vanessa innovated, created and produced over 40 books on how to draw and paint for one of the historical leaders in art instructional books. Including 'How to Paint and Draw' books and licensed products for Disney films such as Tarzan, Cars, Toy Story, Tinkerbell and more. Rothe desinged the school boy desk packaging for a Dougs Doodle Desk how to draw for kids kit and worked first hand at the studios with the Disney artists from Tarzan and Pixar's Dinosaurs movie to create new artwork for the design of the book.
Creating and designing new books from concept to finish and occasionally creating fine art and illustrations in watercolors or oils to be included in the books as well. More images and portfolio on request. Later in 2012 Rothe invented her own how to paint book called ''An Art School Approach to Oils for Still Life and Florals'' by Vanessa Rothe which is published by Walter Foster in 4 languages and can be found on Barnes and Noble, Amazon and EBay.

Rothe took the first Macintosh computer graphics classes offered and used in schools in 1988. She then worked on the school newspaper and the more creative publication called the Asylum. From Illustrations, Poems, stories, logos, journalism review of school events to newspaper design and layout. Her artwork and illustrations were also featured along with many written articles.
