VRFA is proud to present works by Megan K. Euell. Megan is a classically trained painter from Southampton, New York. Euell studied at The Long Island Academy of Fine Art all throughout high school, and then attended Savannah College of Art and Design, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 2010. While Euell studied fashion design and drawing, she ultimately decided to pursue her love of painting from life, moving to Florence, Italy in 2012 to further her training. Euell studied at The Florence Academy of Art and graduated from their Advanced Painting program in 2015. Following, Euell moved back to Long Island to set up a private studio, with her fiance, Francis Waplinger, a Master shoemaker. Euell now teaches drawing and painting workshops on the East End, and pursues her painting career. She is a member of The Salmagundi Club and Portrait Society of America, and has been honored to speak about classical drawing and painting at S.C.A.D.'s drawing department, as well as at Long Island University's CCR program, and was a finalist in the Artist Magazine's Annual Competition in 2016. Megan also received a conference scholarship from The Portrait Society of America, was a recipient of The Stobart Foundation Grant in 2015, and The Stacey Scholarship in 2014. Her work is in public and private collections in the United States and Europe.
